Kiko Veneno és un artista fonamental per entendre els darrers 30 anys de música popular a l’Estat espanyol i no és casualitat que el 2012 fos guardonat amb el Premio Nacional de Músicas Actuales. És doncs un moment de reconeixement merescut i també una bona ocasió per revisar els clàssics del mestre del cantecito, des d’una perspectiva nova i excitant: amb l’acompanyament de l’orquestra Cordes del Món i la mirada sempre atrevida de Raül Fernández Refree.
